Signing in is optional

You can search, plan a whole trip and see what it costs without an account. Signing in is only needed to save a trip, so that it is there on every device you use rather than in one browser.

The only way to sign in is with Google, and there is no password for us to store. When you do, Google tells us your name, your email address and the address of your profile picture, and nothing else. We do not post anything, we cannot see your contacts or your calendar, and we do not ask Google for anything beyond those three things.

What we collect

What you search: a departure airport, and the description of the trip you type or tap. That description is sent to a third-party language model, which reads it into a small structured summary of the trip — who is going, roughly when, what kind of trip it is — used to search and to order the results. It is cached against the text itself, so the next person describing the same trip does not cost another lookup. When you open a deal and ask for somewhere to stay, something to do or somewhere to eat, that lookup carries the destination and the dates from the flight you opened.

A rough location, taken from your network connection by our hosting provider, used only to guess which airport to put in the "from" field. It is a city-level estimate, we do not store it against you, and you can change the field in one tap.

Your currency choice, stored in a cookie on your own device so the prices stay in the currency you picked.

Your saved trips

Once you are signed in, every trip you save — the flight, the accommodation, the things to do, the notes about what you have booked — is stored on our servers against your account, which is what lets it follow you to a new phone. It is not visible to anyone else and we do not sell it, share it or use it for advertising.

If you had saved trips on a device before accounts existed, they are moved into your account the first time you sign in, and removed from the browser once they are safely across.

Deleting your account deletes the trips with it, in the same moment and for good. Write to support@triperco.com and we will do it.

A trip you share as a link carries the trip inside the part of a web address that browsers do not send to servers, so the link works without us ever receiving what is in it — signed in or not. It does mean anyone you send that link to can open the trip, so treat it as public once it leaves your hands.

A trip you save as a PDF is written by your own browser on your own device and is not uploaded anywhere.

What not to type

Do not put passport numbers, payment card details, passwords or other sensitive personal information into any search field. Triperco never needs them — you enter payment details on the provider’s own site, never here.

Who else sees your search

Search terms are sent to the data providers that answer them — Google’s flight, hotel, place and routing data, and Airbnb listings and experiences data, all reached through our search provider. They see the query: an airport, a city, dates, two points on a map. They do not see who asked it.

When you open a deal or a booking link you leave for the provider’s own site, and from that point their privacy policy applies rather than ours. The same is true of a link into Google Maps.
